The Garage Company

If anybody has been to Bartertown in Sydney’s west, this looks like the motorcycle version. A nice collection of photos over at ‘a time to get’.- Posted on the 03.09.2009, Permanent Link

Back behind the lens

A few years ago I had the pleasure of working with Steve Back on a large architecture based project that had us running around the roof tops of some of Sydney’s tallest buildings. He’s obviously been extremely busy since then and has produced an amazing portfolio of work.- Posted on the 08.08.2009, Permanent Link

Smart man!
Photographers spend days behind the lense, for that one cracking shot to go in the portfolio. That magic moment when the dappled shadow dances along the buildings facade and the subjects eyes hit the camera lense through the shimmer of sunlight – and you snap. You got it! that magic moment is frozen in time forever, and there might not be another like for 3 weeks.
One photographer by the name of Peter Funch, really doesn’t enjoy that 3 week wait for the next magic moment, so he creates it himself, with pure imagination (and a little help from technology).

football anyone?

I received my usual monthly newsletter from Sydney based photographer, Toby Burrows yesterday, which included this image. Now is it just me, or is that not a full size football ground with an a naturally formed stadium around it, in the heart of the desert?Either way, Toby’s new series of aerial landscape photographs blew my mind, if you are somebody that appreciates photography and or abstract art (or just the desert) I highly reccomend a visit!

Stunning typographic journey

Occasionally you will come accross somebody that truly enjoys the art of typographic expression. As if they were playing a musical instrument, they loose themselves to the journey – that is the infinate exploration of their art. Loose yourself in this brilliant journey. And if you discover who was responsible for created it, please let me know.- Posted on the 18.07.2009, Permanent Link

Magic underwater worlds

These stunning underwater worlds created by Yang Yi, really captured my imagination. I am mystified as to how they were achieved, but the execution is flawless. Love it!- Posted on the 12.07.2009, Permanent Link

The long sleep

“These are moments when structures for the warm season entertainment become lasting elements of a human landscape, memories stored in the sand”.The idea is simple, the execution is simple, the content is minimal, the technique is flawless and the depth is just magic!
